Modica Group is pleased to announce the successful migration of Ezitxt, the trusted small-medium business messaging platform, to its secure enterprise-grade infrastructure ahead of schedule.
Honouring a Legacy of Innovation
Founded in 2006 by Brian Hawker, Jason King, and Kerry Emerson in Whanganui, Ezitxt has built a strong reputation for providing reliable messaging solutions to businesses across New Zealand. For nearly two decades, the platform has empowered organisations to send appointment reminders, marketing communications, educational material, alerts, and updates to their customers.
Since Modica Group’s acquisition of Ezitxt in early 2021, the founders have remained an integral part to the business, continuing to deliver the exceptional customer and technical support that Ezitxt users have come to expect.
“This migration gives us an exciting opportunity to deliver even more customer-focussed value. It’s the end of an era, and it is invigorating,” says Jason, one of Ezitxt’s founders. “I’m excited for the next stages, and what we’ll be able to offer to our loyal Ezitxt customers.”
Enhanced Security Through Accelerated Integration
While the integration of Ezitxt to sit inside Modica’s secure infrastructure was originally planned for October 2025, recent developments prompted an acceleration of this timeline.
“When the universe sends you a sign, you listen,” says Stuart Wilson, CEO of Modica Group. “The safety and security of our customers’ data is our highest priority, which is why we’ve worked tirelessly to complete this migration ahead of schedule.”
The New Ezitxt Experience
All active Ezitxt customers who have logged in or used the API within the past 90 days have been successfully migrated to the new platform, which now operates within Modica Group’s secure infrastructure. Seamless Transition
Users are being asked to reset their passwords to access the new platform. Customers who haven’t used the service in the past 90 days but wish to maintain their account should contact support for assistance.
